Applegate Trail 07: Cascade Summit

This marker is located 0.25 miles from Highway 66 on the Soda Mountain Road.  It is set on the east side (uphill) of the road where the land plats showed the road location at the time of the land survey.  When it was found in August 2015, there was a geocache marker next to it.  From this point the emigrants made the steep descent down into present-day Tyler Creek past the present-day School House Ranch.
