Applegate Trail 11: Entrance to Emigrant Lake Recreation Area

This marker is located just behind the large sign for the entrance to Emigrant Lake Recreational Area, on Highway 66. No information has been found on this marker at SOHS, but it is believed to mark the point at which the Applegate trail exited the area currently covered by Emigrant Lake. It is dated 1979, so was installed after the initial set of markers, as was Marker 9 at Buckhorn Springs Road.
