The plaque and boulder are located at the intersection of A Street and 8th. Street in Ashland

This is the second marker commemorating the driving of the golden spike in Ashland on December 7, 1887 by Charles Crocker.  This marker was dedicated on July 28, 2016 in a ceremony close to the location of the original Golden Spike event. Street in Ashland. The plaque was prepared by the Ashland City Parks and Recreation Department at the urging of employee Dan Merrill, who is a dedicated railroad buff. The Ashland Heritage Commission also supported the project.
