Butler Memorial Bandshell

Directions

The bandshell is located in Lithia Park, Ashland. It can be seen from Winburn Way, just a few blocks up from the Plaza.

In 1949, a bequest from the will of Gwin Butler, a prominent local business man, was used to build this bandshell. The plaque states that the bandshell was erected in memory of Gwin Samuel Butler and his wife Alice Barron Butler. Both were children of pioneers to the Rogue Valley. The bandshell is used extensively in mild weather, Including for Ashland City Band concerts during the Summer.
