Hill Dunn Cemetery

Directions

The cemetery is located just off Highway 66 on the way from Ashland to Klamath Falls. It is a left turn off Highway 66, about 0.6 miles beyond the entrance to Emigrant Lake Recreation Area. When the cemetery was established, Emigrant Lake did not exist.

The Hill Dunn Cemetery was established in 1853 when Isaac Hill's nephew, Isham Keith, was killed on August 17, 1853 in a battle with Native Americans during what is known as the Rogue Indian War. Isaac Hill donated the land for the cemetery at that time.
